Our client is a leading Irish electrical infrastructure contractor with a strong reputation for delivering major public lighting, street lighting and infrastructure projects nationwide.

Due to continued growth and a significant pipeline of Dublin City Council infrastructure projects, they are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager to join their Dublin operations team.

The Role

This senior leadership role oversees major public lighting and electrical infrastructure projects across Dublin City. The successful candidate will be based out of the Park West office working closely alongside Dublin City Council staff while managing the successful delivery of ongoing street lighting and infrastructure works throughout the city.

The role will involve overseeing large scale infrastructure projects from planning through to delivery while coordinating site operations, engineering teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of major public lighting and electrical infrastructure projects across Dublin City
• Work closely with Dublin City Council teams and stakeholders throughout project delivery
• Oversee project planning, programme management, and operational delivery across multiple live infrastructure projects
• Coordinate site supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, and operational teams
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within programme deadlines
• Monitor project performance, budgets, forecasting, and reporting
• Ensure all electrical and infrastructure works comply with industry regulations and health and safety requirements
• Support technical decision making and problem solving across ongoing infrastructure works
• Attend client meetings and maintain strong working relationships with local authority stakeholders
• Manage project documentation and reporting throughout all project phases
• Drive quality control standards across all public lighting and street lighting works

About You

• Strong background as a Senior Electrical Engineer, Electrical Project Manager, or Senior Project Manager within infrastructure, utilities, electrical, or civil engineering sectors
• Experience delivering public lighting, street lighting, utilities, or local authority infrastructure projects
• Strong technical, operational, and programme management experience
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, engineering teams, and subcontractors
• Commercially aware with strong organisational and problem solving abilities
• Focused on programme delivery, quality, and health and safety standards
• Relevant electrical or engineering qualification required
• Full clean driving licence
