(On-site) - Lead Innovation in a Thriving SME

Location:- Loughborough

Work Style: Flexible Hours Hybrid Options Considered

Sector: Specialist Manufacturing (High-Precision Thermal Control Systems)

Key Skills - AutoCAD Electrical preferred (or others) - Able to lead the projects across Electrical design and build.

Are you the kind of person who sees a machine and immediately starts mentally rewiring it? Do you want your work to make a real impact, not just get lost in corporate layers? Welcome to your next chapter, and chance to be part of something and lead this area' of the R&D and engineering work.

Our client is a profitable, well-established SME with big ambitions and a down-to-earth, supportive culture. Our business is growing-steadily and sustainably-with new products in the pipeline and a team that actually enjoys Mondays.

We're now looking for a sharp, organised, and forward-thinking Senior Electrical Engineer to help shape the future of our clients electrical design and manufacturing capabilities.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be the go-to person for all things electrical-leading improvements, refining designs, and driving the development of our next generation of products. Key bits include:

Design & Deliver: Produce clear, standards-compliant electrical schematics and documentation (AutoCAD Electrical preferred, but we're not religious about it).
Own the Process: Specify components, design for global markets, and take ownership from concept through to the shop floor.
Collaborate & Innovate: Work alongside a friendly and clever team in R&D, manufacturing and production-your ideas won't just be heard, they'll be built.
Evolve & Improve: Play a pivotal role in enhancing reliability, safety and performance across our growing product range.

What You Bring

We're after someone who knows their wires and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. You'll likely tick most of these boxes:

A Degree, HND or Level 5 qualification in electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar.
Around 3+ years of hands-on experience in machinery or equipment-based electrical engineering roles.
Fluent in electrical schematics (AutoCAD Electrical or similar) and knows their way around a control panel.
Experience in wiring, testing and assembly.
Good communicator with a methodical, problem-solving brain and a sense of ownership.

Bonus Points If You Also Have

Experience designing for international power specs (if you've ever had to ask, "Is this the 60Hz or 50Hz region?", you're our kind of person).
Familiarity with PLCs, control systems or configurable product design.
A background in small-batch or configurable manufacturing.

Why Join our client

Stability meets ambition: They have been doing this a long time, and just getting started.
Flex your time: Early riser? Night owl? They will work around you.
Lead, don't follow: Real ownership over your work and the chance to shape future product lines.
Culture that cares: Small enough to feel like family, big enough to make an impact globally.

Interested in helping us build smarter, safer, more efficient machines and we would love to chat with you and discuss our clients role :)
