Senior DevOps Tooling Specialist - Eindhoven - ALTEN Netherlands

The Position

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Tooling Specialist to join our team and contribute to ongoing client projects in Eindhoven.

You're basically the "go-to person" who makes sure these tools work smoothly, are easy to use, and stay updated. You also help automate boring, repetitive tasks and fix problems when they come up.

• Support users: Help your coworkers when they run into issues using tools like Jira or Bitbucket.
• Improve tools: If a tool is missing something or could work better, you help figure out how to fix or improve it.
• Manage access: Make sure only the right people can use certain tools and features.
• Automate tasks: If something is done manually too often, you write scripts to make it automatic.
• Fix problems: If something breaks, you help get it running again quickly.
• Monitor systems: Keep an eye on the health of the tools so they don't go down.
• Work with others: You're in a small, skilled team and talk regularly with other departments to understand their needs.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
• You've been working in IT for 5+ years
• Strong communication skills in English. Dutch is a bonus.
• You like solving problems and improving how things are done.
• You're good with tools that help manage software projects.
• You're a team player, curious to learn more, and can write code (like in Python or Perl).
• You're comfortable using Linux and tools like Docker, and you're familiar with how developers build and release software (CI/CD).

The tools you'll work with:

• Atlassian Jira - Tracks bugs and tasks.
• Atlassian Bitbucket - Hosts code using Git.
• Atlassian Bamboo - Automates building, testing, and releasing code.
• Atlassian Confluence - A place to write and share documentation.
• Atlassian JFrog Artifactory - Stores code packages and software components.
