The Role

We are looking for a Senior Building Inspector (ideally Class 2A-F) to join our inspection team. The opportunity is primarily based in our site inspection team, with a dedicated pool car for each inspection area.

Working Arrangements

We offer a range of flexible working patterns. The formal location for this role is our Bodmin or Pool office but the building control team is mainly home based, with office bases across Cornwall.

What you'll need to succeed

• Keen, customer focused candidates with proven experience in a high quality Building Control environment. You must have wide ranging knowledge of the legislation and technical documents underpinning the Building Regulations, and be proficient in managing and prioritising workloads in pressurised situations, with excellent customer focus and negotiation skills.
• Ability to contribute effectively to the productivity of the service and undertake work independently in a prompt and professional manner.
• Ideally you will hold a relevant degree and be a full member of a relevant professional body - RICS, CABE or CIOB.
• Preferred qualification is Class 2A F Registered Building Inspector, but candidates registered at Class 2A RBI will also be considered.
