Senior Developer, ALM

Role: Senior Developer - (ALM)
Location: London, Hybrid Working Available

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, enhance, and maintain ALM models, ensuring accuracy, performance, and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
Collaborate with actuarial, risk, finance, and IT teams to capture requirements and translate them into robust modelling solutions.
Review technical specifications, implement updates, and oversee testing and quality assurance processes.
Identify opportunities for optimisation, process automation, and improved system performance.
Maintain clear documentation, process notes, and user guides to support knowledge sharing and system continuity.
Support wider strategic projects and initiatives within the actuarial systems function.

Experience Required:
Part-qualified or qualified actuary, or equivalent technical background, with significant experience in life insurance or reinsurance.
Proven track record in ALM and asset modelling, ideally with exposure to FIS Prophet or similar actuarial modelling systems.
Strong understanding of ALM principles, including asset classes, liability structures, matching and hedging strategies, and market risk.
Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, SQL, R, or VBA would be an advantage.
Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., Bermuda, Solvency II) beneficial.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities to deadlines.
Strong communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
