Position: Senior Deputy Headteacher
Location: Pattison School Full-Time Permanent

You'll work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to deliver a high-quality education, inspire staff, and ensure outstanding outcomes for all students.

What You'll Be Doing

As Senior Deputy Headteacher, you'll:

  • Lead with impact - providing strategic and operational direction across the school.
  • Champion pupil success - driving high standards in teaching, learning, and wellbeing.
  • Inspire staff - mentoring and developing teams to reach their full potential.
  • Ensure excellence - overseeing safeguarding, compliance, and school improvement.
  • Shape the future - contributing to curriculum innovation and whole school initiatives.

You'll be a visible, approachable leader who models integrity, ambition, and care-deputising fully for the Headteacher when needed.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone with:

  • Proven leadership experience in independent or maintained schools.
  • A strong track record of improving pupil outcomes and leading change.
  • Deep knowledge of safeguarding, compliance, and inspection frameworks.
  • The ability to inspire, motivate, and develop staff at all levels.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and the values of Pattison School.

Desirable: Experience in all through or performing arts focused schools, and leading whole school initiatives.

Qualifications
  • A good honours degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development (e.g. NPQSL, NPQH).
  • Additional leadership or SEND qualifications are a plus.
