The platform supports a range of regulatory risk use cases, including Market Risk Stress Testing, CCAR, Full Revaluation, VaR, Counterparty Credit Risk, FRTB Stand Alone Approach (SA). The role is accountable for ensuring the ongoing integrity, scalability, and performance of the platform while driving continuous improvement and alignment to future state architecture. Although positioned at Director level, this role requires a team member who operates with Managing Director level accountability, monitoring outcomes across federated and high demand production ecosystem. You will combine strategic oversight with effective delivery leadership, ensuring stability, efficiency, and controlled change across the platform. The role operates in a high intensity environment, requiring the ability to maintain clarity, control, and delivery discipline under pressure while balancing BAU priorities with ongoing platform evolution.

Responsibilities
  • Own and drive end to end BAU delivery and platform stability, with accountability across technology, data, and quantitative components.
  • Ensure resilience, performance, and operational integrity of the SFRC platform across all supported regulatory use cases.
  • Lead prioritisation and execution of platform enhancements and fixes, balancing BAU stability with strategic evolution.
  • Maintain deep understanding of SFRC and Quartz architectures, guiding decisions, simplifying complexity, and ensuring alignment to target state principles.
  • Oversee delivery across multiple contributing teams (Technology, Quants, Data, Risk, Market Data), actively managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Drive effective incident management, root cause analysis, and remediation, ensuring continuous improvement in platform reliability.
  • Maintain ample governance and control oversight, ensuring compliance with regulatory, audit, and internal risk requirements.
  • Represent Technology in audit and regulatory interactions, owning responses and engaging credibly with control functions.
  • Own platform financials, including resource allocation, cost discipline, and prioritisation across competing demands.
  • Provide clear, concise updates to senior stakeholders, driving informed decision making and accountability.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure delivery discipline, quality, and clarity of requirements.
  • Drive adoption of efficient delivery practices, including automation, DevOps, and AI enabled productivity where appropriate.
  • Work closely with delivery leads across multiple concurrent platforms, ensuring effective coordination between change and BAU activities, enabling both to execute without conflict or compromise to platform stability.
  • Adhere to SFRC programme management standards, providing timely, high quality updates and inputs to the SFRC Programme Lead (including weekly status and monthly achievements).
What we are looking for
  • Experience delivering and operating complex trading and market risk technology platforms.
  • Experience guiding large scale BAU environments alongside ongoing change and enhancement.
  • Ability to operate at senior leadership levels, driving outcomes in high pressure environments with minimal oversight.
  • High level stakeholder management across Front Office, Risk, Technology, and Finance.
  • Demonstrated ability to combine strategic thinking with practical execution.
  • Deep experience working with Quants, Market Risk, Model Validation, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Robust technical grounding, with the ability to rapidly understand highly detailed architectures, data flows, and system integrations.
  • Experience across the full SDLC, working closely with engineering and delivery teams.
  • Deep expertise in Agile and scaled delivery models.
  • Extensive knowledge of DevOps, release management, and environment coordination.
  • Experience monitoring production platforms, including incident, release, and change management.
  • Ample data and analytics awareness, when engaging with data, quant, and risk systems.
