Senior DB2 DBA LUW

For one of our clients, a leading IT services provider, we are seeking an experienced Senior DB2 Database Administrator (DBA). You will join our client directly. The Role

As a Senior DB2 DBA Specialist, you will work within a dedicated Database Administration team and manage the backbone of the technological infrastructure. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and optimizing IBM DB2 databases on Linux, Unix, and Windows platforms.

You will ensure maximum system performance, implement security measures, manage user permissions, and develop robust backup and recovery strategies. You will support end users and developers in solving complex issues and actively contribute to capacity planning and scalability.

You will also collaborate closely with other teams to realize database projects that contribute to the organization's strategic goals. You will have the opportunity to propose and implement process improvements that increase system reliability and performance.

Your profile

At least 6 years of experience as a DBA with IBM DB2.
In-depth knowledge of Windows Server 2016, Linux/Unix, and VMware ESXi.
Experience with cloud migrations (public/private).
Customer-focused, eager to learn, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:

Knowledge of automation (IaaS), YAML, QREP, and/or IBM DB2 Warehouse on Power.
Experience with AD FS, Azure AD, storage solutions, and OpenShift.
