Senior Data Engineer - Technology Services
Join a multi-disciplinary Technology Services team delivering enterprise-scale data products and Business Intelligence solutions. You will develop and maintain data warehouses, models, reports, dashboards, and business applications, applying specialist skills across the Microsoft BI stack (Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse Analytics, Power BI) and the Power Platform. You will analyse data to provide descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive insights while ensuring high standards of data quality, performance, and governance.
To apply, you must have hands-on experience in data engineering and business intelligence, with expertise in Microsoft BI stack, data warehousing, ETL/ELT development, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.
Key Accountabilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable data products including warehouses, models, reports, dashboards, and business applications.

Implement, optimise, and document ETL/ELT data flows across operational systems, analytics platforms, and BI solutions.

Deliver governed, reusable data solutions using Microsoft BI stack and Power Platform.

Analyse data to provide actionable insights via descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics.

Re-engineer and optimise data processes and code for scalability and performance.

Support batch and streaming data processing solutions, applying best practices.

Ensure data quality, security, and governance across all platforms.
Key Criteria
-
Experience in data engineering and business intelligence, including ETL/ELT development (Azure Data Factory).

Extensive knowledge of SQL Server, data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud platforms.

Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, and Power BI.

Proven skills in data modelling and design using recognised industry standards.

Experience with large, complex datasets, optimising data flows and performance.

Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience designing, building, testing, and maintaining large-scale data products.
