We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Operational Permanent Control team, supporting a major transformation program focused on improving data management, analytics, and automation across Retail, Corporate, and Private Banking, as well as support functions. This role offers a balance of on-site collaboration and remote work while contributing to high-impact initiatives that enhance data quality, availability, and usability across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Document, review, and refine existing data models to ensure they are maintainable, readable, and scalable.
- Design and implement data models for reporting and operational use, integrating data products into control and monitoring processes.
- Automate recurring data processes, optimise workflows, and ensure efficient data pooling, sampling, and processing.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with data governance standards and operational needs.
- Contribute to the development and industrialisation of data flows, delivering high-quality, reusable data assets for analytics and control purposes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements, provide technical guidance, and ensure timely delivery of data solutions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Master's degree in data engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years as a Data Engineer or Analyst, preferably in finance, control functions, or large complex organisations.
- Strong knowledge of conceptual data modelling (eg, MERISE), data pooling, sampling, and implementing data solutions in complex environments.
- Fluent in French or Dutch, and English.
- Proactive, autonomous, and collaborative. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
