About this role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain our data infrastructure and pipelines. You will work closely with other teams to maintain a single source of truth for device data and assist in developing a unified device support portal.

Responsibilities

• Data Ingestion: Design and build robust data pipelines to ingest device data from multiple mobile device management platforms (MDMs).
• Database Management: Integrate fetched data into a BigQuery table, ensuring data integrity, schema consistency, and optimal performance for downstream use.
• Data Integration & Collaboration: Work closely with the Orderpad team and the broader data team to ensure all device data is reliable and to establish a single source of truth for all device-related information.
• API Development & Scraping: Build and maintain systems for scraping data from internal and external platforms as needed.
• Portal Development (Secondary Role): Collaborate with the JET TMS team to develop a unified device support portal, utilizing similar technologies as the data integration processes.

Qualifications

• Python: Expertise in Python for building data pipelines, scripting, and automation.
• Databases: Strong proficiency with SQL, particularly Google BigQuery, for data modeling, querying, and optimization.
• API Expertise: Deep understanding of REST API principles and experience with OpenAPI for API specification.
• Data Pipelines: Hands-on experience building and maintaining production-level ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud services for data, specifically AWS IoT and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Airflow: Experience with Apache Airflow for orchestrating complex data workflows.
• Android: Knowledge of Android systems, especially in relation to data extraction from Android devices or applications.
