Senior Data Analyst (Python & Snowflake)

Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Senior Data Analyst for a 12 Month contract based in London (2 days in office per week).

Responsibilities of the role:

• As Senior Data Analyst with experience in Python and Snowflake, you will work on a major data integration and transformation programme within the bank. Your primary focus will be to consolidate data across different parts of the business and bring it to life through analytics, storytelling, and actionable insights.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate and centralise data sources.
• Translate raw data into meaningful insights using Python and Snowflake.
• Support business-as-usual (BAU) reporting and analytics activities while contributing to broader data transformation initiatives.
• Help shape the bank's strategic decisions with data-driven insights.

What we require from the candidate:

• Strong experience in data analysis and analytics, in a financial services or banking environment.
• Proficient in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Solid experience using Snowflake as a cloud data platform.
• Able to tell compelling stories through data, with an ability to distil complex information into clear, strategic insights.
