Join the Close Brothers Compliance Team, where you will support the Compliance Manager in managing operational matters, undertaking regulatory tasks related to governance, reporting, and compliance processes. You will oversee tasks performed by the Compliance Operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience working independently and collaboratively, supervising junior team members, designing methodologies and controls to ensure quality, efficiency, and accuracy, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail, including liaising with senior management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review and approve highly confidential processes, maintaining accurate records for internal and regulatory purposes, including Personal Account Dealing, Conflicts of Interest, Gifts and Hospitality, for senior executives and external audits.
  • Handle reporting and submissions to regulatory bodies, liaising with relevant parties within the Group.
  • Coordinate the Bank's RCSA, EUC Program, Business Continuity Planning, and assess risks and controls for Group Compliance.
  • Support the provision of data and MI for senior committees and working groups, collaborating with relevant management and colleagues.
  • Work with external suppliers, internal technical experts, and HR to ensure effective mandatory training modules.
  • Collaborate with Compliance Officers and Analysts, supervising as appropriate, to allocate regulatory activities and implementation actions efficiently.
  • Build and maintain relationships across teams and with subject matter experts.
  • Ensure compliance reporting and review activities meet internal and external standards.
  • Identify risks proactively and design controls and processes to mitigate them.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, capable of managing multiple workstreams.
  • Experience working independently, prioritizing tasks, and evolving the role within the compliance function.
  • Strong interpretative skills with policy content, attention to detail, and ability to summarize key material.
  • Knowledge of rules and developing practical solutions.
  • Good technical knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Practical experience in compliance regulation and processes such as Conflicts of Interest, Gifts and Hospitality, P.A Dealing, Financial Promotions, SMCR, etc.
  • Background in Central Compliance or advisory roles.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., Qualified Lawyer, Accountant, Banking or Financial Regulation), though not essential.
