Role Overview:
The Talent Set is working with a fantastic charity to recruit a Senior Communications Manager for a 6 12 month maternity cover contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead on strategic communications across the UK and the Middle East, overseeing media relations, brand reputation, digital content, and crisis communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of communications strategies for UK and Middle Eastern audiences.
- Oversee press office operations and guide the Media & PR Manager.
- Build media relationships and secure targeted press coverage.
- Collaborate on integrated campaigns and brand awareness initiatives.
- Liaise with high-profile supporters and the Royal Press Office for key events.
- Monitor media landscapes and manage risk communications.
- Develop and maintain crisis response plans, media statements, and protocols.
- Coordinate cross-team crisis responses and deliver staff training as needed.
- Manage regional social media and website content (including QCV channels).
- Create engaging stories to showcase impact and engage key audiences.
- Ensure consistent brand use and alignment across regional materials.
- Deliver long-term communication plans for funded projects.
- Produce engaging copy for web, print, and social media channels.
- Support the development of thought leadership and reporting materials.
- Collaborate with programme teams to ensure messaging accuracy.
- Support internal requests with existing content and act as a knowledge resource.
- Uphold safeguarding protocols in all communications.
Person Specification:
- Significant experience delivering multi-channel communications strategies.
- Strong copywriting, media handling, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven track record in crisis communications and brand protection.
- Comfortable managing digital platforms and content management systems.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.
- Experience working with the Royal Press Office or high-profile individuals.
- Budget management and creative briefing experience.
- Line management experience.
What s on Offer:
- Ability to work flexibly, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the Central London office.
- Initial 6-month role with the potential for extension (part-time options considered).
- A competitive salary of £45,000 pro-rata for the ideal candidate.
