Good Growth is responsible for delivering and implementing the Mayor's environment, transport and economic strategies and for the effective implementation of the London Plan. The Directorate is also responsible for regeneration (where the programme is not housing led), enterprise, growth, capital projects and design work.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced and creative communications professional to lead and coordinate stakeholder engagement, marketing and communications for the Greater London Authority's Planning & Regeneration Unit.

This is a strategic and delivery-focused role at the heart of shaping how we communicate the Mayor's vision for planning and regeneration. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing targeted engagement strategies, raising awareness of planning initiatives and extending the reach of our work to diverse audiences across London.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the GLA and externally to coordinate impactful communications, ensure consistency with our brand, and support the delivery of Mayoral priorities.

What your day will look like
  • Lead the design and delivery of integrated stakeholder engagement and communications strategies.
  • Coordinate marketing activities across Planning & Regeneration projects in line with the GLA's brand and digital guidelines.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including boroughs, delivery partners, and community groups.
  • Oversee the use of digital channels and tools to promote planning programmes and consultations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of engagement and communications activity, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Support project planning, delivery and reporting across the team's portfolio.

This role is based at London Fire Brigade's Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL).

Benefits

GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
