We are seeking a Senior Combat System Engineer (CSE) to play a pivotal role in delivering operationally effective naval combat systems in support of the Royal Navy's Strike Net programme.

Working as part of a highly skilled team of Combat System Engineers, you will plan and execute integration, test, evaluation, and acceptance activities, ensuring complex maritime systems meet demanding operational requirements. You will contribute to the development of Design Authority capability, support sea trials, and generate the technical evidence required for safe and assured system integration.

The Role What will you be doing as a Senior Combat Systems Engineer?

• Lead and provide technical direction to subordinate Combat System Engineers in support of Strike Net development
• Engage with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
• Develop test strategies and plans, execute trials, and conduct post trial analysis
• Produce high quality technical documentation, including Supporting Evidence for Certificates of Safe Integration
• Deliver clear and accurate progress reports to senior technical and project stakeholders
• Participate in and support sea trials on board Royal Navy ships

What are we looking for in our next Senior Combat Systems Engineer?

• Experience working with maritime combat systems and system of systems technologies
• Proven track record in the integration, test, and evaluation of complex systems
• Ability to lead, mentor, and support junior engineers on technical tasks
• Experience producing technical artefacts in support of operational approval and assurance
• Awareness of Test & Evaluation and/or system integration processes
• Ability to work effectively within mixed military and civilian teams
• Honours degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, or a clear willingness to work towards chartership
• HNC/D level qualification may be considered with appropriate and relevant experience
