Senior Cloud Network Engineer

We are supporting a tech-driven energy organization in the search for a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join their IT infrastructure team in Madrid. In this role, you'll design, implement, and optimize secure cloud network environments-primarily in Azure-ensuring scalability, performance, and security across the organization's operations.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and development of cloud network architectures (mainly Azure), ensuring high availability, resilience, and scalability.
• Build and automate network resource deployments using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Continuously monitor and fine-tune network performance, optimizing for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Enhance cloud security posture through Firewall rule audits, network segmentation, and best-practice implementation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate network infrastructure seamlessly with business-critical applications.
• Respond to security incidents, ensuring containment and documentation.
• Keep current with the latest cloud networking trends and best practices, contributing to innovation within the team.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Significant hands-on experience with Azure networking services, networking protocols, and security principles.
• Solid knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools (eg, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Proven track record resolving complex cloud network issues and optimizing secure environments.
• Proactive and analytical mindset, with excellent communication skills to interface across technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong commitment to professional development, ideally with current or in-progress certifications in cloud networking.
• Team player with customer orientation, quality awareness, and a passion for clean, scalable architecture.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus but not essential.
