Senior Clinical Pharmacist-Homecare Services

We are seeking an experienced and motivated ClinicalPharmacist to lead and deliver our Medicines Homecare Service. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop a high-quality, patient centred service that supports efficient medicines procurement and homecare delivery across the Trust.

• To participate in, manage and oversee the Pharmacy Homecare service to internal and external customers
• To lead the provision of a high quality, safe, cost effective, efficient service pertaining to homecare services
• To support the provision of a full pharmaceutical service to Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust by maintaining a high quality, patient centred, clinical pharmacy service at ward and department level.

Main duties of the job

• Lead and manage the Pharmacy Homecare Service, ensuring safe, cost effective, and efficient operations.
• Provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters, particularly in medicines procurement and homecare.
• Drive service development initiatives and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Support clinical pharmacy services at ward and departmental level.
• Line manage and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Person Specification Experience

• Presenting complex information to groups and individuals
• Significant post qualification experience working as a clinical pharmacist
• Evidence of further learning relevant to job
• Experience in carrying out audit and project management work
• Experience as a prescriber
• Training in Good Distribution Practice (GDP)

Knowledge

• To undertake Continuing Professional Development as required for registration.
• Specialist knowledge acquired through training and experience
• Understands the current landscape of supply chain management and how to operate within it effectively
• Understanding of stock control systems

Qualifications

• M.Pharm or equivalent
• GPhC registered
• Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience
• Independent Prescribing Qualification or be willing to work towards one
• Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Diploma
