The pharmacy department in the acute Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert is a state of the art; purpose built facility that makes use of modern technologies including robotics. We implemented Hospital Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (HePMA) throughout the acute hospital in 2016, and it has since been rolled out across key sites in the health board. The system has also recently been upgraded in the summer of this year, with plans for partial roll out to our Emergency Department underway.

The successful candidate will work closely with the System Manager, clinicians and wider pharmacy team to advance the safe and effective operation of the system. This will include finding innovative ways to use reports and protocols as well as helping optimise use of the Pharmacist Early Warning (PhEW) tool to improve clinical pharmacy patient prioritisation.
