Generative artificial intelligence (AI) describes algorithms that can be used to produce new content, including audio, code, images, text, simulations, and videos. It is developing all the time and is now being used as a support mechanism for all kinds of content based creations. Job overviewWe are recruiting to a number of paediatric speciality posts with start dates from 26 February - 26 September.
Registration with the GMC, MRCPCH and experience/familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices is preferred, although we may be able to support sponsorship to the GMC if the candidate has an equivalent paediatric exam and excellent clinical experience in another setting.
The post is not recognised by the Royal Colleges for training purposes but provides training opportunities.
Main duties of the jobWe are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity to work in one of the following specialities: adolescent health, haematology/oncology/bone marrow transplant, rheumatology, renal medicine, paediatric education fellow. Other specialties may become available over the year.
The post holder will be a vital part of the paediatric team, delivering high quality clinical care to children and young people across a range of highly specialised services. The appointed fellows will be responsible for providing day to day inpatient and outpatient management of patients, whilst the education fellow will contribute to education sessions using a variety of modalities including lectures, small group seminars, bedside teaching, clinical skills sessions, and simulation based training.
All posts will contribute to the out of hours rota.

Person specification Knowledge and Experience- Training in paediatric speciality
- APLS /EPLS / PLS or equivalent
- Evidence of safeguarding training
- At least three years of speciality training in paediatric speciality
- Ability to organise information and time in an effective and planned manner
- Skills to communicate clearly with multi disciplinary health professionals
- Ability to build rapport with children and their carers, communicate with them effectively and act as a patient advocate
- Evidence of leadership skills
- Excellent command of English language (GMC recognised exam)
- Good communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to work flexibly
- Good organisational skills
- Competent to work without direct supervision where appropriate
- Able to be part of the wider hospital team including working night shifts
- Successful completion of Foundation Training or equivalent
- Full GMC registration with license to practice or eligibility to apply for registration
- MRCPCH or equivalent
