The Role

  • Report directly to the Client Services Manager.
  • Manage workflows for a small team, ensuring timely, accurate, and budget-friendly delivery of work in alignment with client commitments.
  • Oversee the management, development, and coaching of junior staff.
  • Maintain a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality service and expert guidance.
  • Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Handle corporation and personal tax returns.
  • Conduct initial file reviews for technical accuracy before managerial and director-level assessment.
  • Perform analytical reviews of clients' financial data and lead review meetings to aid their understanding.
  • Promote the firm's services and identify value-added opportunities for clients.
  • Manage personal daily workloads efficiently.
  • The Requirements
  • At least four years of experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Qualified AAT, ACA, ACCA, or part-qualified ACA/ACCA (or qualified by experience).
  • Strong technical knowledge of current Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent service to clients.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Capacity to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting/tax systems; experience with Xero is an advantage.
  • High-level competency in Excel and IT applications.
