Senior Civil Engineer - Manchester (Full Time)

I am pleased to be partnering with a respected UK consultancy to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer for their growing Manchester team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer seeking greater responsibility and involvement in a broad range of development infrastructure projects.

The role will involve supporting residential led developments and mixed use schemes, spanning feasibility through to detailed design and technical approvals. The position offers hybrid working and occasional travel to project sites.

Requirements

• Strong technical understanding of drainage, highways and development infrastructure.
• Experience in consultancy, ideally on residential or mixed use development projects.
• Advanced capability in MicroDrainage/Flow and AutoCAD; knowledge of Civils 3D is beneficial.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and approval processes (S104, S38, S278).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design of multiple infrastructure schemes.
• Coordinate work, guide junior staff and ensure high quality deliverables.
• Prepare calculations, reports and drawings, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders, and support fee proposals and project budgeting.
• Produce concept and detailed drainage strategies, level strategies and technical documents.
