Location: Keswick

Pay: £15.50 per hour (paid breaks included)

About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join a beautiful Georgian care home with modern wings set in peaceful gardens opposite Fitz Park in Keswick. The home provides 24-hour professional care for up to 45 residents, including specialist dementia care within secure, purpose-built units.

With a strong person-centred approach, the service focuses on dignity, independence, and overall wellbeing. Residents enjoy comfortable en-suite bedrooms, freshly prepared meals by a full-time chef, and a varied social programme designed to keep life engaging and fulfilling.

As a Senior Care Assistant on nights, you will play a key role in ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable, and well-supported throughout the night, providing reassurance and high-quality care in a calm and respectful environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, support, and mentor night care staff
  • Deliver compassionate, person-centred care
  • Administer medication (training provided if required)
  • Complete and maintain accurate care documentation
  • Carry out regular night checks and ensure residents' comfort and safety
  • Respond promptly and calmly to any care needs during the night
Candidate Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Medication training (advantageous)
  • Previous experience in a senior care role
  • Confident working independently during night shifts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older people
