This is a Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The role involves supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
ResponsibilitiesYour focus as a Senior Care Assistant includes monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of changes impacting care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and updating written records to reflect any variation. You will be involved in the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations. You will also support residents with their medication requirements, undertake staff supervisions, and act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals.
Other responsibilities will include:

- Being involved in the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
- Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
- Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
- Acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidate must:
- Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
- Have 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
