Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Senior Care Assistant to support the safe and effective delivery of care across our North West branch, we specialise in packages of support to families , and clients with learning disabilities in their own home or supported tenancy.

This is a senior frontline position with a clear development pathway into a Care Co-ordinator role. You will take on additional responsibility in the field, support colleagues, and gain exposure to coordination and operational processes to prepare you for progression into the office team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in line with care plans
  • Provide leadership and guidance to care staff in the community
  • Undertake spot checks and reinforce safe practice
  • Monitor and escalate changes in service user needs or safeguarding concerns
  • Assist with care reviews and documentation updates
  • Support urgent cover to maintain continuity of care, prepared to work a care shift
  • Participation in the on-call rota on an ad hoc basis to support operational flexibility
  • Gain exposure to rota support and care package mobilisation

About You

  • Experienced in domiciliary care or similar field role
  • Confident supporting and guiding other staff
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and compliance standards
  • Organised, proactive, and solution-focused
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Motivated to progress into a Care Co-ordinator position

Career Development

This role is designed as a stepping stone into Care Co-ordination. You will receive structured exposure to scheduling, care planning, compliance, and operational processes to build the skills required for progression.

On-call duties will be paid as additional remuneration or provided as time off in lieu (TOIL)
