The Role

We are seeking an experienced buyer to deliver value through cost savings, quality, and timely delivery. The role supports the inventory site of goods and materials and will coordinate with suppliers to ensure goods and materials are delivered on time and at the best possible cost.

Responsibilities

• Place and progress purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues or delays
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers to track order status and update internal teams
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support company objectives
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
• Monitoring the supplier on time deliveries and reporting / clarifying any questions/ concerns with your line manager and the supplier to fulfil our set KPI's and targets.
• This role requires a high focus on attention to details, including supplier documentation reviews, are very critical to this role.
• Maintain vendor data information by providing information, such as payment policies for each vendor, list of vendors with contact information and other information, such as products or services provided.
• Assist within the procurement process in identifying new potential vendors & the set up process.
• Communicate and manage non-conformances, coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure effective resolution.

About you

• Previous experience in electronics or electronic components is preferred.
• Able to manage the full purchasing process-from RFQs to order follow-up and supplier management.
• CIPS Level 3/ Level 5 or the equivalent experience.
• Experienced in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services.
• Essential - Comfortable using Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail
