Senior Buyer

VANRATH is assisting with the recruitment of a Senior Buyer for a leading equipment organisation.

Monday - Friday, Permanent position, based in Belfast.

Salary: Negotiable base salary plus a fantastic benefits package and progression opportunities.

Responsibilities:

This role involves more than reactive purchasing; you will take full ownership of your categories, utilizing data and ERP systems to inform decisions. You will lead initiatives to enhance global sourcing strategies, strengthen supply chain resilience, and ensure efficient material flow.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing and negotiation to ordering and expediting within your categories.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier partnerships that deliver long-term value, quality, and performance.
• Utilize ERP systems and reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead strategies related to cost, quality, and resilience across the supply chain.

We'll Be a Great Match If You:

• Have a relevant degree and/or 3+ years of experience in procurement.
• Possess strong commercial awareness and a commitment to operational excellence.
• Have a successful track record of creating value in procurement roles.
