Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Your job

You will bridge the gap between data engineering and visual storytelling, transforming complex data into actionable insights that support critical business decisions for Indeed and SBS. In this role, you will design scalable data models, build management information processes, and develop dashboards and reporting solutions using SQL, Python, Tableau, proprietary tools, and other modern BI technologies.

Your core focus areas will include:

• Business Intelligence & Reporting: Design executive ready dashboards and reporting solutions that surface insights, trends, and recommended actions for business leaders.
• Data Architecture & Metrics: Identify the right data sources and develop scalable metrics and models that simplify complex business processes and measure the impact of SBS initiatives.
• Prototyping & Automation: Partner with Operational Excellence teams to build decision support tools and transition successful pilots into automated, scalable solutions.

Who you are

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines that aggregate marketplace, performance, and operational data into clean, analysis ready data models.
• Develop and monitor operational and ecosystem health metrics to support real time decision making.
• Create interactive dashboards and data visualizations that translate complex datasets into intuitive insights for executive leadership and business teams.
• Optimize SQL queries, data models, and warehouse performance in environments such as Snowflake and AWS to improve dashboard responsiveness and scalability.
• Partner with Research, Planning, Measurement, and Data Science teams to integrate predictive and machine learning outputs into BI tools and reporting workflows.
• Implement data quality, governance, and validation processes to maintain reliable and trusted reporting across the organization.
• Collaborate cross functionally with Sales, Support, Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to define reporting requirements and embed measurement capabilities into new initiatives and product launches.

Who we are

• Requires a Bachelor's degree, and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or a Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience; or a PhD without experience
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross functional teams to translate business questions into scalable data solutions and visual reporting strategies.
• Proven experience managing the full BI lifecycle, including building ELT/ETL processes, developing data models in cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or AWS, and creating dashboards in Tableau, Looker, Sigma, or similar tools.
• Experience using Python or similar scripting languages for automation, statistical analysis, data cleaning, or API integrations.
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling methodologies such as Kimball or Data Vault, with experience designing scalable data models for large, event driven datasets.
• Understanding of data visualization best practices, including information hierarchy and visual design principles that improve usability and decision making.
• Experience optimizing performance in large scale data environments, including improving query efficiency, dashboard load times, and warehouse utilization.

The salary range for this role reflects the minimum and maximum compensation for the role. Offers are typically made between the range minimum and the range midpoint. Actual compensation will be determined based on job related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Tier 2 - Ireland 63,000 - 95,000 EUR per year
