We are seeking two experienced Senior Business Development professionals to join our growing commercial team. If you are driven by impact, passionate about life sciences, and motivated by improving outcomes for patients, we would welcome your application.

About the role:

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in sourcing, negotiating, and delivering antibody discovery and humanisation services to academic groups and biotechnology partners, contributing to LifeArc's financial sustainability.

With the recent launch of our B-SMArT antibody discovery platform and 30 years of experience and expertise in antibody humanisation you will drive our externalisation strategy, establish new strategic partnerships to build a high-quality projects pipeline, and evaluate and deliver options to expand LifeArc's offering.

Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, Platforms and working closely with the Translational Science Preclinical Platforms, Legal, Intellectual Property and Insights teams you will cultivate partnerships that maximise platform utilisation, expand scientific reach and accelerate patient impact.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of antibody humanisation and discovery service deals with academia and biotechnology partners
  • Deliver revenue-generating and impact focused deals aligned with LifeArc's financial and patient impact goals
  • Establish new strategic partnerships to enhance the quality and diversity of our antibody humanisation and discovery projects pipelineand drive repeat business generation
  • Identify, monitor, evaluate, negotiate and execute new technology platforms deals expanding LifeArc's external offeringto support preclinical and commercial strategic initiatives
  • Shape LifeArc's externalisation strategy and drive decision-making on the packaging of new scientific offerings.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of marketing materials
  • Represent LifeArc at industry conferences and partnering events as a credible, values-driven partner
  • Play a critical role in maintaining LifeArc's external reputation as a partner of choice
  • Collaborate across LifeArc, including Translational Science, Legal, IP and Insights teams

(Essential) experience required:

  • Experienced business development professional with significant experience leading negotiations and contracts in a scientific R&D healthcare organisation - commercial or not for profit
  • Experience managing life science partnerships including relationship management and customer relationship management tracking systems such as Salesforce
  • Deep understanding of life sciences partnering contracts
  • Experience of drug discovery & development, including antibody humanisation and discovery
  • Demonstrated personal leadership qualities, influencing skills and ability to represent LifeArc in a wide variety of forums independently
  • Experience communicating verbally and in writing to drive senior level decision making
  • Experience representing an organisation externally, networking and building relationships in support of strategic goals
  • BSc in life sciences
  • Postgraduate degree in science or business would be advantageous

Salary will be determined by qualifications and experience along with other exceptional benefits.
