Your Role You will lead Business Analysis activities for a firmwide SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation programme, supporting the migration of finance teams and business processes from existing legacy systems to the new SAP S/4HANA platform. Working at both programme and project level, you will manage the workload of and coach a small team of Business Analysts (typically 1-2). You will play a pivotal role in defining business requirements, ensuring robust process re-design, and supporting business change to deliver a global, future-proof Finance function. Lead BA activities for SAP S/4HANA Finance programme, ensuring consistency in requirements, process analysis, solution design and UAT. Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, benefits and business requirements. Manage a small team of Business Analysts; mentor, set deliverables and maintain quality. Deliver business analysis across the project lifecycle, including requirements, process mapping, business change and UATs. Run large, complex workshops with diverse stakeholders, both in person and remotely. Elicit and document requirements using Waterfall or Agile methodologies. Oversee requirements traceability; design and run UATs; review and approve acceptance criteria. Support Testing team by providing acceptance criteria, reviewing scripts and resolving queries. Work with Training and Change teams to produce training materials and support change management. Identify risks and issues with project teams and implement mitigations. Promote Business Analysis value and role across the firm. Manage challenging stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes. Advocate knowledge sharing within the BA team, including mentoring and tool demonstrations. About you Extensive experience leading finance transformation programmes with SAP S/4HANA (or similar ERP platforms) in large or matrixed organisations. Advanced knowledge of finance operations, including processes, reporting and controls, with a record of driving improvements. Familiar with key finance modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and data migration challenges. Advanced understanding of business analysis tools and techniques across the project lifecycle. Experience with large, global, and complex programmes or projects. Strong track record of engaging a wide range of business stakeholders, including finance, lawyers, partners, and heads of function. Confident interfacing with technical teams, with sound knowledge of key technology concepts. Excellent written and verbal communicator, able to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels. Significant experience with business analysis tools such as Azure DevOps, Mural, Visio, Tableau, Power BI, Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), Business Process Modelling Notation, Waterfall and Agile delivery, user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts, workshops, and requests for proposal (RFPs). Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and skilled at building relationships with teams and senior stakeholders. Able to define plans, provide direction and technical leadership on complex, high-impact projects across all lifecycle phases. Comfortable with ambiguity, conflicting priorities and complex information; adapts communication style as needed. Works independently with sound judgement on when to escalate or involve others. Able to assess commercial impact of project decisions, aligned with corporate strategy and objectives. Collaborates effectively and builds strong, lasting partnerships. Demonstrates effective communication skills and performs well under pressure. Good listener who asks insightful questions to fully understand requirements.
