Senior Broker - Direct & Facultative Property

Key Responsibilities Quoting, Placement & Policy Management- Analyse client risk profiles and provide tailored insurance advice and coverage solutions.
- Structure placement strategies aligned to client operations, exposures, and risk transfer objectives.
- Prepare and present market submissions to secure optimal terms with full disclosure.
- Negotiate with insurers to obtain the most suitable coverage, carrier, and pricing.
- Manage subjectivities and warranties to ensure successful policy placement.
- Coordinate and negotiate post-placement adjustments, including endorsements.
- Support new business development and placement activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers to maximise placement opportunities.
- Understand and manage client needs in line with service agreements.
- Develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Deliver effective renewal strategies to support high client retention.
- Ensure consistent service delivery and elevate issues where necessary.
- Produce and analyse reports on premiums, brokerage, claims, and renewals as required.
- Maintain accurate, timely records of negotiations, communications, and placements.
- Ensure all documentation is stored in line with internal procedures to provide a clear audit trail.
- Adhere to all legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements across all activities.
- Maintain high technical and professional standards to minimise risk and errors.
- Ensure confidentiality of client and business information.
- Follow internal financial controls and approval processes.
- Support implementation of regulatory and process changes.
- Identify and report any suspicious financial activity in line with compliance procedures.
- Act with integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments, regulations, and best practices.
- Take responsibility for continuous professional development and required training.
- Experience in insurance broking and account management, ideally within complex or international programmes.
- Strong understanding of insurance markets, products, and regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to analyse risk and design appropriate insurance solutions.
- Experience in policy documentation and placement processes (including slip drafting).
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
