Senior Bid Writer

A leading Tier 1 main contractor, headquartered in Galway, is hiring a Bid Writer to join its pre-construction team. This role is ideally suited to qualified Engineers who are ready to move out of site work and into a more office-based position, while staying close to the technical detail of major construction projects.

You'll work closely with a senior bid team to develop high-quality tender submissions for high-profile, technically complex projects across Ireland (and wider UK/Ireland operations).

The Role

• Review tender documents, client requirements and submission criteria in detail
• Produce clear, well-structured written bid responses aligned to methodology, programme and deliverables
• Coordinate inputs from internal teams (engineering, commercial, planning, H&S) and manage deadlines
• Ensure submissions are accurate, compliant and consistently presented to a high standard

Requirements

• Strong technical writing and attention to detail, with a solid understanding of construction methodologies and programming
• Experience in construction/engineering (site or office background welcome)
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a bid team and deliver to tight tender deadlines
• Relevant third level qualification (engineering/construction discipline preferred)
