- Lead and mentor software engineers, including providing technical guidance and code reviews, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Working as part of small focused agile development team owning the full software life cycle, from design through implementation, test to deployment and monitoring in production.
- Design and develop software for the end-to-end testing lifecycle including; tools, frameworks and automated tests.
- Applying your specialist technical knowledge to create/modify solutions that are able to serve millions of requests every day.
- Create clean, efficient and testable code, in line with company coding standards. Actively seek to improve the performance, code quality and architecture of the solution.
- Continuously drive improvement within yourself and the team, by putting forward improvements to technology stack and processes.
- Support the propagation of knowledge and skills through the development team and help to drive improvements to technical best practices.
- Help to define the technical approach and leading day to day initiatives in the development team. Working with the other engineers, engineering managers and staff engineers to ensure technical approach is in line with technical strategy and industry best practices.
- Be a hands on back-end engineer utilizing the latest version of .NET and C#, with a strong knowledge of development and technical principles, methodologies, and values.
- An experienced and driven individual contributor with the knowledge and skills to guide technical direction, unblocking the development team, and act as a point of technical escalation and knowledge within the team.
- Experience of key technologies utilized by Exclaimer; C#, .NET, Docker, Microservice Architecture, Unit and Automation testing, Azure (Storage, AKS, SQL, Service Bus and more), and Monitoring (Datadog)
- Deep diagnostics and debugging skills to identify root cause of issues and provide robust solutions to the issues identified.
- Experience of working in a Senior or Leadership role in a fast-paced SaaS business to achieve high frequency incremental delivery of customer facing functionality.
- Experience of SMTP, MIME, email processing, and high-performance C# applications is desirable.
- Experience of creating and maintaining high throughput backend services to the core operations of a 24/7 SaaS product.
- Ability to work closely with Product Management and Engineering Managers to identify the solution to the customer/technical problem and break down the work into small incremental deliveries.
- Can establish trust and build relationships with engineers, peers, and stakeholders across the business; you will be able to communicate clearly and succinctly without ambiguity.
