Senior Audiologist

This position offers the successful candidate the chance to join the Multiple Award winning Audiology department and gain and use their skills in one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland.

West Argyll is known for its beauty and is excellent for outdoor pursuits and is the gateway to the Islands.

Whilst only being 2 hours away from Glasgow, the senior audiologist will have autonomy arranging and attending their own clinics within West Argyll while providing highly complex diagnostic assessments on both paediatrics and adults alike.

Report writing and onward referral to ENT and other NHS professionals would be expected.

This post allows for research and development of new hearing aid technology and environmental aids.

The postholder would be expected to travel to 5 hospitals and 5 Islands as part of their duties and overnight stays would be expected within Kintyre and the Island of Islay.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES

• Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part time hours will be adjusted on a pro rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
