Job Description
Role Overview

Operations role within the EMEA Relationship Management team. The team is responsible for increasing the firm's assets under management through institutional fundraising across the entire Ares platform of products. The role is highly detail-oriented and requires strong organisational skills, with responsibility for ensuring accurate data management, timely delivery of projects, and smooth coordination of team activities. The candidate will support the firm's strategic fundraising objectives by driving operational efficiencies, enhancing data processes, and enabling effective client engagement across Europe. In addition, the role will work closely with senior members of the Relationship Management team, supporting strategic initiatives, enhancing client coverage efforts, and contributing to the effectiveness of investor engagement across the region.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities

Strategic & Project Support

  • Support the Head of EMEA Relationship Management on key strategic initiatives, aligning team priorities with broader business objectives.
  • Manage project timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communication across strategic initiatives.
  • Support cross-functional operational improvement initiatives from design through implementation.

Operational Excellence & Execution

  • Provide high-quality operational and strategic support to the EMEA Relationship Management team, ensuring accuracy, attention to detail, and timely execution of deliverables.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines across projects, maintaining discipline in tracking progress and delivery.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency across the EMEA Relationship Management function.

Data, Reporting & Systems

  • Develop and enhance methodologies for tracking client and prospect activity, ensuring robust Salesforce data management.
  • Create and maintain automated reporting to improve visibility into AUM, capital flows, pipeline, and client activity.
  • Produce high-quality reports and presentations, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with business objectives.

Client & Commercial Support

  • Prepare materials and insights for investor meetings, including agendas and briefing documents.
  • Support demand assessments for new fund launches by tracking investor interest and coordinating inputs.
  • Analyse the client base to identify opportunities for deeper engagement and cross-platform collaboration.

Events, Roadshows & Planning

  • Coordinate investor events, roadshows, and conferences, including logistics, materials, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Oversee regional roadshow planning and scheduling to optimize client engagement and team efficiency.
  • Track and manage budgets related to events and team activity, including post-event analysis.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product Management, Investor Relations, Investor Operations, Compliance, and other teams to enable effective execution.
  • Facilitate information flow across the Global Client Solutions platform, working with functions such as Strategic Partnerships, Quantitative Research, RFP, and Marketing.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of corporate experience with 2 years of asset management, investment banking or buyside experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with the asset management industry, leveraged finance, and alternative investment strategies.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills required; experience with Power BI/Tableau and Salesforce preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience building dashboards, reporting frameworks, and data visualizations.
  • Problem solving ability with a research orientation, suggesting resolutions.
  • Takes initiative and has a strong work ethic, as well as a high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to set priorities, multi-task and monitor own workload to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and drive.
