Senior Associate Employment Law (32-40 hours per week)

About the Role
We're looking for a skilled and people-focused Senior Associate to join our Employment Law team. In this role, you'll not only provide expert advice on Dutch employment law but also play a key part in mentoring and developing our team.
You'll work closely with both local and international clients and collaborate with colleagues across different departments and global partners.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide strategic advice on all areas of Dutch employment law-from hiring and workplace conditions to termination and conflict resolution
- Draft and review employment-related documentation such as contracts, internal policies, and collective labor agreements (CLAs)
- Guide clients through reorganizations, dismissals, and proceedings before the UWV or courts
- Collaborate with our international legal network to advise on cross-border employment issues
- Stay on top of legal developments and translate insights into clear internal updates and client communications
- Lead internal knowledge sessions and external trainings, webinars, and seminars
- Coach and support junior colleagues-providing guidance, feedback, and legal training to help them grow
- Play a hands-on role in team development and knowledge sharing, promoting a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
- Act as a thought partner to the team and management, contributing to best practices and internal process improvements
What You Bring
You've got solid experience in Dutch employment law and enjoy working closely with clients-plus, you're someone who naturally takes the lead and enjoys helping others grow.
- A Master's degree in Dutch Employment Law or an HBO Rechten degree from a Dutch university of applied sciences
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Dutch employment law, ideally in a client-facing or international setting
- A solid command of employment legislation and the ability to translate it into practical, actionable advice
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English-able to engage confidently with clients and lead internal discussions
- A proactive and organized approach, with the ability to take initiative, set direction, and inspire others
- Comfortable leading projects independently while fostering strong collaboration across legal, finance, and HR teams
A certificate of conduct (VOG) and reference check will be part of the application process.
