Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Associate/Partner with a 6+ years' post-qualification experience to join our highly regarded Family department at our Liverpool office. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to become part of a supportive and dynamic team, handling a diverse caseload of family matters.

Our Family Law teams, based in Manchester, London and Liverpool, offer expertise and essential support, whether it be a divorce, civil partnership dissolution, negotiating a prenuptial agreement or an issue regarding arrangements for children both nationally and internationally. The Liverpool office is a close-knit team, led by Partner Beverley Jones, who has been recognised year on year since 2014 as a top tier lawyer in both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building and establishing strong relationships with the firm's client base, working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to deliver an effective and seamless client experience.
  • Managing a varied caseload of clients in a profitable and efficient manner, in consultation with the Department Head and to assist other fee earners in the team.
  • Support department initiatives for marketing and business development, and contributing to the organisation, development and continued success of the Family department.
  • Effective management and supervision of junior members of the team, using your training and motivational skills to contribute to our positive team environment.
  • Taking responsibility for your financial contribution to the firm, including meeting expected levels of chargeable recoverable hours, ensuring accurate and timely time recording, and supporting effective billing and cash collection performance.
  • Maintaining your expertise by staying up to date with new legal developments and changes in legislation, meeting CPD and compliance requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Qualified Solicitor with 6+ years' post-qualification experience.
  • Experience of assisting on a range of Family work including:
  • High-net-worth divorce and financial remedy.
  • Pre and post nuptial agreements.
  • Privately funded children work.
  • Knowledge of legal principles and court procedures in relation to family cases.
  • Experience in confidently meeting deadlines, prioritising tasks and effectively managing your workload.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle sensitive client issues and empathise with clients.
  • Ensure excellent service standards and maintain high client satisfaction.
  • Track record for supporting initiatives for business development.
