About the Role

Senior Assistant Pricing Actuary - London, Redhill, or Dublin. This analytic role focuses on exposure based pricing models for Travelers Europe. You will be an active member of the actuarial pricing team, supporting model development, data analysis, and business collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop pricing algorithms for Travelers Europe.
  • Implement algorithms in the Hyperexponential (HX) production system.
  • Support underwriters with pricing model usage and provide batch rating processes in Python.
  • Expand the batch rater and standard pricing dataset to cover additional products across Europe.
  • Calibrate base rates and prepare data for actuarial rating validation exercises.
  • Assist with related roles such as case pricing, business planning, and reinsurance purchase.
  • Communicate analysis, project results, and technical topics to both technical and non technical audiences.
  • Prepare formal written communications, memos, and presentations.
  • Lead group discussions, manage projects, and mentor junior team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Core Qualifications
  • Associate Actuarial Credential (or equivalent).
  • University degree in a STEM field.
  • Strong PC skills (MS Office) and programming experience (SQL, SAS, Python).
  • Solid understanding of insurance products and industry.
  • Demonstrated actuarial and quantitative analysis skills.

  • Mentoring and training of team members.
  • Business acumen in underwriting, products, reinsurance, distribution, sales, operations, claims, and finance.

Must Have
  • Demonstrable experience in quantitative analysis.
