Job Description

The PMA Code defines good business practice, a commitment to clients, and engagement with industry-wide values of equality, diversity and inclusion, and anti-harassment.

Thank you for your interest in the Personal Managers' Association (PMA), a member-led network of talent agencies representing actors, dramatists, directors and creatives across TV, film and theatre. We welcome applications from experienced agencies committed to engaging with our work.

Timeline:
Applications for 2026 membership are now closed. The next application window runs from October2026 to February2027. Reviews take place each February - March, with final decisions issued in April. We're unable to provide feedback on unsuccessful applications.

Membership is selective, with limited spaces each year. You will be asked to provide the following information when you apply:

  • A copy of your Terms of Business (TOBs) - which we expect to comply with the PMA Approved Code of Conduct and (Artists' Agencies only) with the Employment Agencies Act
  • Two references from current PMA members (please confirm with referees beforehand)
  • A bank or accountant letter confirming a separate client account

To apply, your agency must have at least three years in business; or be led by agents with equivalent senior agent experience and a strong industry reputation. Prior PMA engagement is considered. Alongside your submission Council members take into account the needs and capacity of current members. If you are reapplying, please highlight how your agency has developed since your last submission.

Experience: No less than 2-4 years experience as an Assistant within a talent agency, or closely related entertainment industry role.

CVGG is seeking an ambitious, commercially minded Senior Assistant / Associate to support John Grant and play an active role in the management and development of an established list.

You'll be joining one of the UK's leading talent agencies, working closely in helping to identify opportunities, nurture client relationships and support every aspect of talent representation.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity, and we are looking for someone exceptional, with focus, ambition and drive, looking to build on their previous experience and further their career. You must have a real passion for, and proven understanding of the film, television and theatre industry and be ready to commit the time and effort that it takes to support at this level and develop your taste which includes immersing yourself in the role and going to the theatre and screenings as often as you can.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive and commercially aware, with excellent judgement, exceptional attention to detail and the confidence to thrive in a fast-paced environment. We're looking for someone who excels at building relationships, takes ownership of their work and is equally comfortable working independently or collaboratively. You'll be calm under pressure, solutions-focused and genuinely passionate about helping actors build long-term careers. Interpersonal skills, discretion and the ability to build lasting industry relationships are essential.
