Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Asset Manager role Reporting to the Director of Asset Operations you will: Lead the technical management of utility-scale BESS and solar assets across an operational portfolio Act as the key interface between grid operators, OEMs, EPC contractors, and internal stakeholders Oversee grid connection performance and compliance, ensuring adherence to grid codes and connection agreements Provide technical oversight of MV and HV electrical systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation Support and oversee commissioning and energisation activities for new assets Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and operational risks across the portfolio Lead on electrical safety governance and compliance standards Analyse asset performance data to identify trends and optimisation opportunities Manage and coordinate third-party contractors and service providers Support technical due diligence and asset acquisition activities where required Produce detailed technical reporting on asset performance and compliance Contribute to procurement and contractor selection for O&M and specialist works Act as a technical escalation point for complex grid or electrical issues Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline (or equivalent experience) Proven experience working with MV and HV electrical systems Strong background in grid-connected infrastructure, transmission, or distribution environments Hands-on experience with commissioning, energisation, or grid interface management Strong understanding of power systems and electrical asset operations Experience working with multiple technical stakeholders (grid operators, OEMs, contractors) Experience within renewable energy, utilities, or energy infrastructure projects is highly desirable Experience with BESS or solar PV assets would be a strong advantage Personal skills The Senior Asset Manager role would suit someone who is: Technically strong with a hands-on electrical engineering mindset Highly focused on safety, compliance, and operational excellence Comfortable operating at a senior level within a technical environment A strong communicator, able to manage internal and external stakeholders Proactive and solutions-focused in complex operational scenarios Organised with the ability to manage multiple assets and priorities Adaptable and comfortable working within a growing and evolving organisation Willing to travel to site when required for commissioning and operational support activities Salary and benefits of the Senior Asset Manager role Salary up to €110,000 depending on experience Performance based bonus up to 15% LTIP after 3 years tenure Pension Scheme Private healthcare Strong career progression opportunities INDREN Astute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
