OPIS is seeking a Senior Analyst II who will be responsible for energy market research and analysis. This position will also play a key role in supporting existing publications and report to the Executive Director of Energy Markets.

You Will- Collect and organise crude oil, fuel product & natural gas related statistics and current events.
- Understand the fundamental drivers of the global oil and regional gas markets.
- Lead the preparation of models, data sets and analytics for activities covering energy markets.
- Lead the design and preparation of content delivery tools that enhance client experience.
- Collaborate with other analysts to create views on the NGL content within the gas producing regions.
- Support the preparation of content, analytical tools, and processes; become the primary interface with the systems development for upcoming services.
- Support and leverage intra company expertise and content to support deliverables.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science or relevant discipline.
- A degree in chemical engineering or chemistry is preferred.
- Demonstrable relevant experience essential.
- Knowledge of the energy value chain and a proven ability to quickly gain an applied understanding of market dynamics.
- Experience in modelling refinery unit operation is a plus.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to clearly communicate complex content.
- Advanced skills in Python, Excel, PowerPoint, and the manipulation of analytical tools such as databases, spreadsheets, process documenting and business intelligence applications.
- Experience/knowledge of data visualisation applications (PowerBI specifically), data analysis and data modelling.
- Direct experience operating and manipulating gas market models; RBAC models preferred.
