UK Change Execution works with businesses and delivery partners across the world, combining change expertise and experience to help shape and implement strategic change for HSBC UK. The department is instrumental in driving change improvements in customer experience and unit costs through automation, standardisation, and optimisation of HSBC's operating model covering people, processes, products, and channels.

The UK Change Execution team is a multi-disciplinary team using agile and waterfall practices to manage and deliver transformational change initiatives across all brands and propositions. We have an secondment available (upto 12 months), whereby you will support the Delivery Directors, playing a key role in leading the review of new demand for technical change flowing into the delivery teams to ensure that new ideas are well defined, benefits hypothesis challenged, impact sized by relevant teams, and work prioritised accordingly. As a Senior Analyst, you will also lead a pool of analysts both onshore and across our Global Transformation Centres, utilising inclusive leadership techniques to drive a high performance, development culture across the team and ensuring that the customer is at the heart of everything we deliver.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the creation and maintenance of change roadmaps based on relative business priorities and capacity, connecting multiple change initiatives and focusing on early delivery of value to customers and colleagues
  • Leading the triage of new demand into the team, to ensure that new ideas are well defined, and a prioritised backlog of ideas is maintained.
  • Lead a diverse team, including onshore and offshore colleagues, with inclusive leadership techniques to foster a high-performance and development-focused culture. Determine the best analysis approach and structure to address problems or opportunities during discovery analysis, guiding a team of various skills to reach the desired outcome.
  • Requirements management and traceability, including scope management and change control.
  • Support the definition of the solution design for non technology projects and supporting IT with definition of the technology elements whilst also supporting Product Owners in decision making, managing and refining product backlogs, understanding the business propositions, supporting the tracking and delivery of benefits.
The successful candidates will have:
  • Proven strength in analysis activities from discovery/initiation through to Change adoption/business readiness
  • Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall change methodologies and best practice techniques
  • Proven leadership and coaching experience, ideally within both an agile and waterfall change delivery context
  • Proven ability to build trusting partnerships with stakeholders and business sponsors, influencing decisions across domains at all levels
  • A track record of thriving while working with ambiguity, making complex business decisions with authority, considering the potential long term risks and implications
  • Knowledge of Commercial Banking Products and Journeys
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.

This is a hybrid working model. The base location of this role will be Leeds, Sheffield, Chester or Birmingham.
