Senior AI Engineer

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimising AI models, creating scalable solutions, and contributing to the advancement of our AI capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, data structures, AI deployment practices and evaluation methods. Reporting directly to the CTO, you are expected to take full ownership of RAG and ReACT pipelines development. This position is fully remote. Ideal candidates will be proactive and eager to embrace challenges, possessing the autonomy to significantly influence product direction and oversee projects from inception through to launch.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of our RAG and ReACT pipelines using Python, LLamaIndex and Langchain, ensuring robust, scalable, high-performance and accurate solutions.
• Collaborate closely with the CTO, and product manager to define technical requirements and transform visionary ideas into tangible products.
• Implement and deploy AI solutions into production environments, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Develop CI pipelines to ensure high quality of software delivery.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, and apply new techniques to improve existing systems.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI models in production, making necessary adjustments to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Create comprehensive documentation for AI models, algorithms, and systems to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintenance.
• Take initiative in problem-solving, proactively identifying and addressing potential setbacks throughout the development lifecycle.
• Uphold high standards of code quality and maintainability with thorough code reviews and adherence to best development practices.
• Mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of total software engineering experience, with at least a 2 years spent developing AI solutions.
• Extensive experience with Python.
• Experience with LLama Index or Langchain is a plus.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Experience with data preprocessieng, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker).
• Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment where rapid prototyping and iterative development are paramount.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) for deploying AI solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead projects and interface directly with senior management.
• Fluent English with a minimum of B2+ level, enabling effective communication in a professional setting.
