We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Administrator to join our Healthcare team at HMP Thameside, a category B Prison located in London. HMP Thameside is a large busy male remand prison with a capacity for over 1200 inmates. We are recruiting for a Senior Administrator to support the wider healthcare team with duties such as referrals, booking appointments, keep updated records etc. For this role you must have prison experience.

Hours

Monday - Friday, 0800 -1700

Salary

This position is full-time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £36,195 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As an Administratoryour responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Contribute to the delivery of administration services, to the healthcare team on site
  • Work within a busy team, completing a variety of administrative tasks, working on IT systems, maintaining databases/waiting lists/call-up lists, customer service, answering and directing telephone calls, general office duties such as typing, ordering and stock control, scanning etc.

Qualifications required
  • You must have prison experience
  • Administration experience
  • English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A non-judgemental and compassionate approach
  • Good IT skills and IT literacy
  • Ability to work within a busy environment
