Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and organised Band 3 Senior Administrative Assistant to join our CAMHS Eating Disorder Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting a specialist service that works with children, young people and their families across the eating disorder pathway.

The post holder will work predominantly with the CAMHS Eating Disorder Team, while also overseeing and providing cover for administrative support to the Eating Disorder Intensive Home Treatment Team (EDITT). The role is part of a wider CAMHS administrative function, with day to day support and supervision from an established admin team based at a different CAMHS site in Hull, including a Band 4 Administrator, Senior Admin Assistants and Admin Assistants.

You will work closely with clinical and administrative colleagues across sites to ensure effective communication, coordinated working and a high quality administrative service.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide high quality administrative and secretarial support to the CAMHS Eating Disorder Team, including managing referrals, appointments, correspondence and clinical documentation.
  • Oversee and support the day to day work of the Band 2 Administrative Assistant supporting EDITT, providing guidance, coordination and cover when required.
  • Act as a key point of contact for children, young people, families and professionals, handling sensitive information with care and professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate electronic patient records, reports and data in line with Trust, Information Governance and data quality standards.
  • Coordinate diaries, clinics, meetings and MDT activity, including preparation of paperwork and taking minutes as required.
  • To regularly produce data quality reports and information in relation to team area needs.
  • To identify and resolve team data quality issues.
  • Work flexibly as part of the wider CAMHS administrative team, providing cross cover and support to inpatient, day service and Crisis & Home Treatment admin functions when needed.
Qualifications and Knowledge
  • Advanced keyboard skills: RSA/OCR III or equivalent/Advanced ECDL.
  • 3 or more GCSE/O levels which must include English and Maths.
  • 'A' Level/BTEC Diploma/NVQ3 Business Administration/Customer Service or equivalent experiential learning.
  • Knowledge of a range of work procedures and practices.
  • Medical Terminology.
  • Literacy and numeracy Level 2.
Experience
  • Demonstrable experience of practice and procedures relevant to the area of work.
  • Knowledge and experience of IT systems e.g. SystmOne, ESR, health roster, oracle.
  • Maintaining the quality and integrity of data in Trust IT systems.
Skills and Competencies
  • Able to plan and prioritise effectively.
  • A team player.
  • Ability to motivate others.

£25,760 to £27,476 a year per annum pro rata
