Senior Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a fast growing service business in Worksop as they look to recruit a Senior Accountant into the team. The business is well established and has a finance team of 7. This role will report straight to the Head of Finance and will play a key part in the production of management accounts as well as complete balance sheet reconciliations. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all financial reporting requirements are completed in a timely manner.

Key duties will include: -

- Assisting with monthly and year end reporting to stakeholders.- Preparation of month end journals - Working closely with external accountants on tax and audit requirements- Completion of balance sheet reconciliations- Business partnering with operational teams, highlighting any risks and driving efficiencies- Maintenance of the subsidiary companies accounting records, ensuring compliance at all times - Preparation of Board Packs and associated content- Ensure suppliers are paid in a timely mannerSupport the wider finance team as and when necessary - Any ad-hoc projects to support the Head of Finance The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experiences: 3+ years experience of working within a finance department- Qualified or Late part qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)- Proficient in the use of Microsoft products, particularly Excel.- Understands best practise for financial controls- Demonstrates experience and understanding of financial reporting- Good communicator - Confident and resilient Benefits include: Generous starting salary - 29 days holiday per annum - Medical - PensionPlease note this role will be fully office based.
