Top 100 organisation is seeking a qualified and commercially astute Financial Accountant to join its Financial Reporting team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant to take ownership of key financial reporting activities within a complex and high-profile organisation.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Financial Reporting & Statutory Compliance, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, statutory accounts, audit support and technical accounting guidance.
Your new role

• Lead elements of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting cycle.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and support annual audit processes.
• Act as a key liaison with external auditors.
• Provide technical accounting advice and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Support financial reporting for subsidiaries and related entities.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliations and controls.
• Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls and enhance reporting efficiencies.
• Contribute to financial forecasting, cash flow reporting and wider finance projects.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and supervise team members where required.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in financial accounting, reporting or audit. You will bring:

• Strong technical accounting expertise.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting audits.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.
• A proven ability to improve processes, manage competing priorities and work autonomously.
