Senior / Principal Engineer - Energy Conversion

Location: Manchester or London Hybrid

We're recruiting for experienced Senior or Principal Engineers with a strong background in energy conversion projects. This role offers the chance to work on high-impact programmes shaping the future of power generation and energy systems.

We're especially keen to hear from candidates with consultancy experience, though we welcome strong engineers from industry too.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and deliver technical work across power generation, renewables, waste-to-energy, hydrogen, and biofuels projects
• Carry out design, modelling and feasibility analysis for energy conversion and storage systems
• Guide multi-disciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers
• Provide technical leadership to clients, ensuring quality outcomes and innovative solutions
• Support proposals and strategy development, contributing to the growth of the energy business

What we're looking for

• 8+ years' experience in energy generation / conversion projects
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, energy systems and plant performance analysis
• Experience with modelling tools such as Aspen Plus, EBSILON, or Thermoflex (or similar)
• Chartered Engineer (or working towards) in Mechanical, Chemical, Process or Energy Engineering
• Excellent client engagement, project leadership and cross-discipline collaboration skills
