Job Description
Overview

Axcis Education is closely supporting all-through SEND provision that supports pupils with a wide range of complex needs. This inclusive school is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team and play a vital role in supporting students' social, emotional, and academic development.

Position Details

Teaching Assistant (PMLD Support)
Start Date: Monday 7th September (or as soon as possible)
Hours: Full-time or part-time, between 9.00am - 3.30pm
Pay Rate: £14.25-£16.50 per hour (depending on experience & qualifications)

Responsibilities
  • Support students' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Manage challenging situations calmly and confidently.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team and support staff.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with young people and staff.
  • Assist with student welfare and safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications
  • Calm, patient, and confident in managing challenging situations.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to build positive, trusting relationships.
