Job Description
Teaching Assistant (SEND School)

Location: Twickenham

Hours: Full-time, 8:30 AM - 4PM (Monday to Friday)

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: £13.69 per hour PAYE

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with severe and complex learning difficulties.
  • Assist students with additional needs, including autism, physical, and sensory disabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and specialists to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Support students with personal care routines, fostering independence and dignity.
  • Use specialist equipment and follow individual care plans to meet students' needs.
  • Build positive relationships with students, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.
Requirements
  • Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with severe and complex needs (preferred but not essential).
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students.
  • Willingness to assist with personal care and use specialist equipment as required.
  • Flexibility to work across various age groups (4-19) and adapt to individual needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
